Our Story

Hi! I’m Nichole Kirk, founder of Dear Heart (you can read our story here!) and Joy Pop!

My husband, Kris, and I live in Texas with our three kids, where we run both businesses together alongside our incredible team. One of the questions we get asked most often is if Joy Pop is a franchise — which honestly feels like such a compliment — but nope! Every detail was dreamed up and built from the ground up by our family and the Dear Heart team.

Joy Pop was born from the same heart behind Dear Heart: creating conversations that bring people together and reflect the joy of Jesus in simple, everyday ways. We wanted to create more than just a soda shop — we wanted a place where people could slow down, celebrate the little things, make memories, and leave feeling a little lighter and more loved.

From the colorful drinks to the happy details, every part of Joy Pop was created with intention and a whole lot of love.

At the heart of it all, we believe true joy is found in Jesus. Psalm 16:11 says, “In Your presence there is fullness of joy,” and that verse has become such a meaningful reminder to us as we’ve built Joy Pop. Our hope is that this place feels welcoming, encouraging, and full of the kind of joy that points back to Him.
